can anyone tell me the difference between the customization and the workarounds??

السلام عليكم وكل عام وانت بخير اخوي ،، حسب خبرتي المتواضعة :
Cusomization يقصد به التطويع ويعني تغيير اعدادات او تغيير شكل التقرير على حسب متطلبات المنظمة التي يعمل بها وهذا لانظمة ال ERP .

Workarounds هو احد الطرق المستخدمة لحل المشاكل ، وهو اسرع الطرق واسهلها غالبا ويلجأ له المبرمجون او محللي النظم لعلاج مشكلة بصورة مؤقته حتي يتم ايجاد حل دائم لها.

هل oracle تنصح بعمل customized module
يعني خارج الmodules الموجودة؟؟؟

العفو ،،، لاطبعا لاتنصح بذلك . واوراكل الان مغطييين اغلب مجالات البزنس يعني صعب تلقى متطلبات في منظمة ماهي موجوده في واحد من modules

oracle apps gives u the oppertunity to add new modules that u developed to the apps i mena registering them inside the apps with new responsibilities and menues
as for ur questions regarding the customizations and workarounds
customizations is making modifications or extenstions to the standard functionality that oracle provides and oracle has provided many tools for that legal way of customizing the apps and adding logic or new forms or reports to the existing apps ex the work flow customuzation that sometimes are used to extend the apps functionality
as for workaround these are things that the implementation consultant might do or use to make a workaround to satisfy the customer need withput having to perform customizations ex .using an oracle feature for another purpose other that what it was made for to cover what the client needs

regarding the work flow
work flow is a separate product of oracle it used to handle notifications in systems in addition to to building systems using the work flow desgin
well let me give u an example the forms in the applications does not include all the logic in many cases the form just start a work flow process that initiates the logic .
inside the workflow builder u can find the sequence of the logic inside the workflow buider u can find the process that intiated the workflow also subprocesses that where involved in handling the logic in an flowchart like display also the notifcations that were involved in the logic as the approvals process that is used heavily in the applications
u'll find workflow documentation in the apps documentation

2 concurrent programs
these are programs or reports that u want to execute in the applications
of course u can add ne concurrents to the apps either as reports or programs

3-forms addition
these can be done by registering the form on the apps u'll find documentation in the apps developer guide
4 - u mostly don't use the apps packages except the customization package to add ne logic to the apps
