i have a problem and i wish to find a solution for it
i am a developer on a factory in cairo and working using oracle forms 6i till now all is going fine and i am good at forms and developer but my problem is that i want to convert it to the 9i technology as i know in 9i the system is central and the users only need a browser to access my application so it will reduce the time of installation in case of any modification in any form all i want is to make the modification one time and the users find the modification without any need to upgrade each client machine or install the forms runtime on each machine and putting the application on any machine especially that i have 30 users
so i want to work on 9i
sorry for talking too much
all i want is a step by step explanation to view how to install the application server and where exactly to put my forms and the main differences between 6i and 9i so please please help me as am so tired from all that work

نصيحة اذا كان الناس راضية و مبسوطة بال6 اي
فبلاش تنقل لل9 اي دلوقتي
الابجريد فيه مشاكل كتير والميزة اللي انت بتتكلم عليها او حل المشكلة اللي عندك و انك لما بتعدل في فورم لا زم تروح ترميها عند كل يوزر ممكن حلها بسهولة
ليه موش تحط البرنامج كله علي جهاز واحد علي الشبكة و الكل يبقي شايفه و تظبط الباث بتاع form60_path
علي الجهاز ده ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
و بكدة لما تعدل في اي فورم هترميها مرة واحدة بس

عشان تعمل سيتب للابلكيشن سيرفر لازم يكون فيه سيرفر يعين جهاز هاردوير سيرفر بمواصفات معينة
و الاجهزة دي غالية جدا
هل المصنع بتاعك عنده استعداد يصرف فلوس علي كدة ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟

في حاجات كتير كانت بتشتغل علي ال6 اي موش بتشتغل علي ال9 اي
زي ال ocx and ole
لو بتستعمل حاجة من دي ضروري يبقي فكر كويس قبل ما تنقل

هل في حاجة زي انك مثلا بتطبع تقارير مباشرة يعني من غير برفيو الاول الحكاية دي صعبة جدا ف ي الناين اي و حلولها غير مستقرة
انا موش معارض للترقية لكن ادرس الاول حاجاتك كويس و مدي حاجتك الفعلية و ايه البدائل المتاحة قبل ما تاخد القرار ده
