follow the steps and you will be done i have tested one of this tutorials to install my oracle server successfully it was 10g on fedora core 3 and it takes only a little bit of time i will try to translate some of this articles in the future if time is available
all the tutorials found on this site concern mainly with the installation and maintaince part only because oracle coding and work is the same in both windows or linux or even unix it only requires your wish to do so i wish that all arab oracle fans could try the linux power with oracle and the powerfull and scalable options with oracle+linux
i'm using my oracle server as aweb server and a print server and as a file server all of that on a pentium 3 with a processor 866mhz with ram = 393 mb which is less than the oracle requirements it self and i'm very happy with performance of the server knowing that a number of clients works simmultenously on it with no complaining added to that it doesn't fail or had to be reinstalled like other operating system, this is really a wonderfull operating system knowing that i'm a perior MCSE i really love linux also i will go forward soon to aquire linux certification but i ask you all who is reading these lines to pray for me to pass to heaven without perior pain in hell
