اريد شرح لدالة substr

عمل substr هو كتقسيم لل كلمه او رقم من نوع char
مثلا:
substr('mohamad',2,3)
هو (oha

select substr('mohamad',2,3) from dual;

اي من حرف رقم 2 اعطيني 3 احرف
وهكذا

Returns a substring of x that begins at the position specified by start. An optional length for the substring may be supplied.

for example :

SELECT SUBSTR(name, 2, 7)
FROM products
WHERE product_id < 4;

SUBSTR(
-------
odern S
hemistr
upernov

ففي هذه الحالة يتم قطع الإسم من الحرف الثاني
مقتطعا 7 أحرف
