جاري عندي في العمل ادخال وندوز 8 وكلفت بمهمة تشغيل الاوراكل او البرنامج على وندوز 8 وطبعا لم يعمل
يا ترا في حد جرب الموضوع ده ؟

For production Environment , its very important to use oracle products that certify with your OS as to avoid any future compatibility issues

So , Oracle yet haven't certify any oracle database , client or even developer with Win 8

wait for announcement soon from oracle.

As for test try to install oracle 11g R2 client and feedback

Ok! seems like a reasonable answer for me and that's exactly what I told my manager, but you know us as Egyptians we don't take no as an answer so I called up some colleagues and they actually told me that they got it running by doing the classic way of replacing the java file in the jinitiator..
what's your take on that?

على العموم مش هتخسر حاجه لما تجرب كل الاراء وفى النهايه انا شخصيا فى انتظار الاعلان الرسمي من اوراكل بدعم ويندوز 8 .
تقدر تتابع اخر حاله certification من https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/resource/certifications.html

سطب jinit.jar على ال الجهاز وروح على المسار
C:\Program Files (x86)\oracle\JInitiator 1.3.1.22\bin\hotspot فى الويندوز 64
C:\Program Files\oracle\JInitiator 1.3.1.22\bin\hotspot فى الويندوز 32
واستبدل الملف الموجود بالملف المرفق وشغل على الاكسبلورر
انا شغال من اول ويندوز 8 ما نزل ومفيش اى مشاكل عندى او عند العملاء
