اخواني عندي assignment في تحليل نظم لشركة بيع اجهزة كمبيوتر وبصراحة ما عارفة كيف أبدأ هذا البحث وعندي ضغط كثير في بحوث اخرى
لذا ياريت الله يخليكم لو أحد يساعدني في عمل هذا البحث لانه تسليمه مطلوب الاسبوع الجاي

Assignment Semester 2 2011-12

 

 

1. Introduction to the Assignment

 

Systems analysis and design requires the study and documentation of a business system in order to inform the development of a new or improved information system.

 

For the purpose of this assignment you are expected to produce Systems Analysis documentation, the Design and a prototype of a limited set of functionality for an Ordering and Inventory System for “Brindley Computers” or a similar company of your choosing. You can visit a similar online retailer and examine the functions and facilities which they offer (note that we do not expect you to actually make a purchase), then consider the requirements of the system behind the scenes which will be required to support this aspect of your chosen business.

 

The web site of a similar company that you should study is http://www.ebuyer.com but remember that you will only see the customer-facing part of the total Ordering and Inventory System run by the company.

 

1. Requirements

 

Please note that it is out of the scope of this module to perform a full Business investigation and a re-design of all business processes. At Stage 1 consider only the total Ordering and Inventory System, at Stage 2 refer to the requirements specified below to limit your work to that which is required for this module.

 

Stage 1 Investigation and Analysis

 

• Investigation (10 marks)

 

• SWOT analysis of the business and a written report of suggestions for changes
• List of requirements for the initial prototype
• Project Plan for the remainder of the assignment

 

In order to learn the details of the way this particular firm works, a representative from the firm will be available to your group once only to answer your questions – this will be in Week2 of the module. Of course it is highly recommended that you have done your preparatory work and have investigated the general area of the business as background knowledge before this - you will need to have formed your questions and be able to understand their answers.

 

• Analysis Documentation (40 marks)

 

From the information you have gleaned from both the sample web site, from your interview of your client and by thinking about the required supporting structure, you will be expected to draw the following diagrams using the rules and notations which have been introduced during the course:

 

• Logical Data Structure with likely data items
• Data Flow Model (Context diagram; Level1 DFD; two Level2 DFDs and the Elementary Process Descriptions for those processes)
• Entity Life History (for each of two entities) including operations and state indicators

 

You may need to make assumptions to complete your diagrams. If so, you should make explicit what assumptions you have made and explain them. You are not expected to include every business function (such as Payroll) but to focus on all the aspects of Ordering and Inventory required enabling the customers to purchase and receive goods.

 

Stage 2 Design Prototype (50 marks)         

 

You are required to design and build a Microsoft Access software prototype for the following:

• Display a list of all products in a selected category
• Produce a report preview (on-screen) of products with stock level less than 10
• Add a new product
• List all orders not yet delivered
• List all customers who have made more than one complaint.

 

Include a simple user guide telling the user the name of the file to run the prototype, how to find and run the above requirements.

 

You will need to demonstrate your software prototype, show how it meets the requirements specified in the assignment and answer questions.

Stage 1 (Strategy report and Analysis) hand in Fri 23^rd March before  3.30 (Week 10)

Stage 2 (Design and software Prototype with instructions how to run the stage 2 requirements) hand in Mon 23^rd April before 3.30 (Week 12)

 

Demonstrations of the software prototype will be scheduled for the lecture and tutorial

 of week 12 (slots booked in advance)
