وان شاء الله راح نعمل setup لاوراكل 11g .2 الان كمبتدئة dba

طلب مني senior هذا السؤال

Please Mona come-up with good proposal for Oracle 11.2 memory optimization and performance fine-tuning configuration as well.

• Memory SGA & PGA configuration since the machine has 16G of memory and will be in 64bit
• Logs – Control Log, Redo logs and Recovery Logs

which type of upgrade you will do
clone or dbua or manual upgrading ???
if you will setup db from scratch not upgrading from release to higher release
you can specify 8G to all SGA
log buffer = 512* number of processors
redo log files 3 or 4 groups in different units each group 300M
same control files create more control files in different units
not more that 4 control files recommended

attention: you have the ability to increase some parameters to have the best practice
