Discoverer Dashboard Loading Slow?

i have created 4 dashboard charts in oracle discoverer and manage to publish them in oracle AS portal , but when i go to the page of the dashboard it takes a bout a min to load all the charts ,when i tried to but the proxy we use in to bypass the firewall it loaded the page very fast,so i guess its a connection problem when i saw the source code for the dashboard page it contained some entries from the application server using a port included in the firewall so im guessing thats the problem ......but is there any way to go aroundand get through these items without opening this port in the firewall......?
