This is my 1st post in this forum. I am sorry for posting in English.



Our application is in ARABIC (forms10g). I need to display date & number fields data on forms in english format, .

Example: My requirement format is, birth_date=10-08-2010, idno=8877 (where as now these two fields display data in arabic)

I tried setting NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE=ENGLISH in default.env on server, but no use.

My environment: forms10g, application server 10g, DB 10g.
I am using ARABIC_KUWAIT.AR8MSWIN1256 for NLS_LANG.

I tried AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256 in default.env (on application server), then data is OK but forms are flipped to left side !


please advise ..

Go to the field properties, u have a Reading Order set it as Lest To Right

Thanks for your reply. When I set AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256, (1) Screen itself is displayed on LEFT side instead of right side. (2) I have over 300 screens, I have to modify field properties in all sreens

Is there any work around to keep forms RIGHT aligned & display data for DATE & NUMBER fields in english format.
