Cannot Open First Period of Calendar: FRM-41830: List of Values Contains no Entries [iD 161352.1]

Modified 26-DEC-2002 Type PROBLEM Status PUBLISHED

fact: Oracle General Ledger
fact: GLXOCPER - Open and Close Periods
symptom: Attempt to open the first period of a calendar and receive the
error message
symptom: Calendar is defined as a calendar year but is actually a fiscal
year
symptom: Some years are defined with thirteen periods, some are defined
with fifteen periods
change: NOTE ROLE:
Responsibility = General Ledger Super User
Navigation = Setup/Open/Close
cause: Calendar is not defined properly.

fix:

Verify that the calendar is correctly defined for the current fiscal year:

1. Locate the Period Type and Calendar that is defined
for the set of books on the Define Set of Books form.
(Navigation = Setup/Financials/Books)

2. Locate the Number/Year for that Period Type on the Define
Period Type form.
(Navigation = Setup/Financials/Calendar/Types)

3. Locate the Calendar for your set of books, on the
Define Calendar form.
(Navigation = Setup/Financials/Calendar/Periods)

The same number of periods defined for the Period Type must be specified on the
Define Period Type form.

For example: If the period type is defined as having 13 periods, then there
must be 13 periods defined in your calendar, with that period type. If you
find only 12 periods, create the 13th, then try to open the period again.
