Scenario
Kareem's Mart is popular shop dealing with the sale of different types of bicycles for its customers. Kareem's purchase bicycles from four suppliers and have plans to expand the customer base and to this effect want to add new list of suppliers. The business is growing rapidly and a need has been felt to introduce a database management system in order to meet its expansion plans.
Initially, the database management system is supposed to contain information about the customers, suppliers, orders, bills, products. The proposed system is to capture the current business rule:
"If the number of units of a particular product falls below the reorder level, an order must be placed for the corresponding product." (The reorder level refers to the number of items in the product table that triggers to decision to order more items of that product to prevent an out-of stock situation.)
There are different types of users – customers, clerks, managers and administrator. The users of the system must be able to execute several queries and must be able to see various reports targeted both at the user and managerial level based on the data contained in the tables.


1- Analyse the scenario and suggest ways to ensure the database storage effectively

2- How would you manage to implement the business rule given in the scenario using database triggers?


3- Analyze and explain how you can secure the database given in scenario 1.2? You are required to provide a security policy for Kareem's Mart database. Demonstrate ways in which you can protect data access to users.


4- Discuss how does a database management system help Kareem's Mart in improving their business and in maintaining their information. Your answer must be supported by at least two examples

Answer of this question is based on:
1- ...When you gonna build you DB you have to select DB access control means: Application/server, Client/server
2- Main System policy access control, I advice you to use RBAC Role Based Access Control, It's easy to implement for small applications
3- RBAC mean, system privilege are granted to user as per user role (business functionality), Example: Application developer is granted to use application schema and restricted from DB management schema (DBA)
4- Security by DB design , you should implement your security policy with database creation
