on oracle applications we get rubish on all fields that contain arabic text mixed with numerals, we have Jinit Ver 16 , any suggestions ?

سؤالك غير واضح ولكن يبين لي انه فني وله علاقة بادارة ال Database
اقتراح انك تسأل الاخوان في المنتدى المختص ممكن يفيدونك ؟

اما اذا كان خاص ب تطبيق من تطبيقات البزنس سويت الرجاء ايضاح اكثر

there is a patch related to this problem on the forms and as a work around try using ctrl+shift right or left according to ur need on the field

if ur problem exists on the reports then most probably this is a pasta related problem either it 's not installed or mis configuered

the thing is that we get rubish on forms not reports only when we mix arabic words with numerals like if you fill into the field العميل رقم 11213 مقفل

i believe there is a patch for fixing this issue
also try the crtl + shift work around

i think we previously had this problem and it was solved through a fixing patch u van open a tar or search for the fixing patch in the metalink

we did bro , we opend a tar the people at oracle couldnt help the last we got is that we need to upgrade our oracle jinit but its a painfull process on AIX 5 servers . thanx for the reply

I found the solution a while back but forgot to put it in ,

we solved it by upgraing the JINIT on both the AIX servers and the application side .
for any question s (god forbid) please email me

الحل بكل بساطه فيه ملف تضعه في فولدر الجافا وتسوي له اوفر رايت على الموجود وبعدها كل شيء تمام ان شاء الله إذا انا فاهمك صح

no bro you have to tell the Oracle Applicatoins of the JINIT version change so that it works with it instead of the old JINIT

sorry i can not understand any thing about jinit , please send me more detailts about this subject
since i have aproblem in definig postscript at oracle application 11i on AIX5.3 operating system - and the error appears for me says there is aproblem in display environment

الى كل الاخوه الأعزاء الذين يسألون عن ايه هو ال JInitiator ببساطه هو النسخه الخاصه باوراكل من Java virtual Machine ولفهم المقصود من ذلك يجب ان نعرف
ان اوراكل ابليكيشن تعمل من متصفح الانترنت دون الحاجه لوجود برامج على جهاز المستخدم ولكن هناك صورتين تعمل فيهم هما:
1- HTML_based Application وهى لا تختلف فى الشكل عن اى صفحه من صفحات الانترنت
2- FORMS_based Application حيث تظهر لنا نماذج البياناتforms وحيث ان هذه النماذج مصممه باستخدام لغة جافا لتستطيع العمل على اى نظام من انظمة التشغيل (Windows,LINUX,....) لذلك فعند تشغيل هذه النماذج على الكمبيوتر تحتاج الى وجود الة جافاJava virtual Machine على جهاز المستخدم لكى تستطيع ترجمة هذه النماذج واظهارها على جهاز المستخدم
ويعمل JInitiator كـ Plug-ins مع netscape و كــ Active-X control مع ويندوز اكسبلورر
حيث عند اول اتصال لجهاز المستخدم مع سيرفر الاوراكل ابليكيشن فى بيئة Form_based application يتم عمل دونلود لملفات التنفيذيه وال JAR files من السيرفر الى مجلد معين على جهاز المستخدم وهذه العمليه تتم مره واحده فقط

Oracle JInitiator
The Forms client applet must run within a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) on the
desktop client. The Oracle JInitiator component allows use of the Oracle JVM on web
clients, instead of the browser’s own JVM. JInitiator is implemented as a plug-in
(Netscape) or ActiveX component (Microsoft Internet Explorer).
In the traditional, Forms-based Oracle Applications environment, JInitiator was run as
part of the standard Applications sign-on process. Now, with the move to a mainly
HTML-based environment, JInitiator is only invoked when a user chooses to access
functions that require it, such as running a form. If JInitiator has not been installed, the
Web browser prompts the user to download the required installation executable.
The Forms client applet and commonly used JAR files are downloaded from the
Web server at the beginning of the client’s first session. Less commonly used JAR
files are downloaded as needed. All downloaded JAR files are cached locally on
the client, ready for future sessions. This eliminates the network traffic that would
be involved in downloading them whenever they were required. In 11.5.10, with
JInitiator 1.3.1.18, the cache directory is of the form "<HOMEDRIVE>\Documents and
Settings\<Windows User Name>\Oracle Jar Cache"; for example, "C:\Documents and
Settings\jsmith\Oracle Jar Cache".
Note: Selecting "Show console" on the "Basic" JInitiator tab will allow
you to observe downloading of JAR files, to confirm they are being
downloaded when they should be.
All updates to JAR files are installed on the application tier and downloaded to the client
automatically, via the caching mechanism outlined above.
ببساطه تعليق اخير ( عارفين لما تشغلوا برامج الشات وماترضاش تشتغل - مش بنلاقى مكتوب رساله قم بعمل دونلود لجافا وبعد ما نعمل دون لود بيشتغل الشات ) هى نفس الفكره JIniator هو نسخة الجافا الخاصة باوراكل واللى لازم تعملها دون لود على جهازك عشان اوراكل ابلكيشن يشتغل على متصفح النت
