i have two database in the same HP-UX server
the version of oracle is 10.2.0.2
and i wanna upgrade it to 10.2.0.4

u have to read the upgrade manual first
upgrade the oracle home
run the upgrade script for both databases
so u have to run the script 2 times .
the manual can be found with the patch software readme.html

readme file have all steps needed as pointed above

just wanted to highlight the most important step which usually saves from down times due to failed upgrade

FULL DATABASE BACKUP BEFORE PROCEED WITH UPGRADE STEPS PER THE README

also one other important thing

confirm no invalid objects before upgrade
confirm db registry is all status VALID only
