visit a small to midsize business in your community and explain that you have been assigned to study alocal company.Ask for permission to study the company and explain that you will need to meet with company employee several times during the term to get important and information. How ever you will not need a greet deal of their time or disrupt their business.Offher to share your findings and make suggestions as a way of motivating te firm to allow youto study them.

1. what type of information system does the company have? what subsystem does it have? describe each information system and explain its purposes
2. who is the major external user of the company information? the major internal users? what informaion is produced for each set of users?
3. vefor TWO system output, identify decision made by information system. how data stored? processed? how instructions and procedures are given to the system and users? you can use the characteristics of information( reliale, timely etc
4.what strategy is the company perusing? how do its AIS helpto achieve that strategy?
5. what strategic position is the company pursuing? how do its AIS help to achive that position?
