Authenticated user account : is a database schema ..means it has objects and connect privilege to the database server ,Database administrators can create Oracle database sachems using SOL commands
But it needs to provide USERNAME & PASSWORD when connecting to oracle database

Externally Authenticated User Accounts : means that u can connect to oracle directly without password or even authentication at all
