1- prepare the new server by installing oracle 10g software only]

2-create an emtpy database with the same structure as the 9i database

3-export the database full and import inot the new one

i hope that i could help you

you can do that with many ways but you first need to upgrade your current 9i database to 10g on windows and using database upgarde assisstant and then export full database and import it on linux database
or you can use Tranportable tablespaces to do that from windows to linux
or you can use rman backup to restore files on linux database

if I do exp/imp from 9i to 10g directly
will i face problem after that
as I already did this way
