hello guys, i'm installing a database server on a 12gega byte ram machine & everything is going on fine, but after we're done , the server sees 2 gega rams only , any help will be appreciated, thanx.

Hi,

If you're a windows user ... this is will be the reason:
32-bit Windows doesn't recognize anything beyond 2 - 3 GB of installed RAM

So, if you have 4GB of RAM (or more), and you want to take full advantage of it, start using a 64-bit Windows
and of course that can be achieved only if your hardware supporting the 64-bit.
