I need to change the IP of the e-business R12 server to a real IP
i have 2 NIC cards

i want to try giving the other NIC the real IP
but i hear that this can cause a big problems with the application

give me details i doing this problem before

1. shutdown the middle tier of the application.
2. re-configure your network cards.
3. run the autoconfig tool to make the applications take the effect of the changes.
4.run the application again
