Problem While Shutdown The Database

dear all :
i face a problem while shutdown my database even with abort option it is not respond waiting for long time , the only solution stop windows service ..

Note that :
1-no errors reported in alert log .
2-my OS win2k advanced server .with 6 G ram
3-SGA size 768.935MB ,PGA= 50 MB
4-memory utilized by oracle 1.6 GB

Please advice what is the problem
