Why is it that when I issue CloseConnection() on the Oracle 10.1.2 Application Server, Physically it is disconnected. But when I look at the database (v$session) the connection is still there bu with an "Inactive Status". The problem is the connection in the DB is contunouously incresing untill max connection is reached. When I restarted the OC4J for that application the connection (JDBC Connection) goes bak to zero. The question is, Is there a problem with the Application server that upon issuing the CloseConnection() it closes only the physical connection? But when the OC4J restarts all idle connections were removed. Can anyone help me? please?
