its urgent please i need help
i want to make a trigger in such a way that when insert
a date lets say '1-1-2006' lets say FIXING_DATE
it will automaticallyl add six months to it and and will insert to the same row '1-7-2006' lets name it COMING_FIXING_DATE
until here no problem but the problem is when this date'1-7-2006'
comes it has to insert automatically a new row which will have FIXING_DATE as '1-7-2006' and COMING_FIXING-DATE as 1-1-2007


PLEASE I HAVE DONE ALOT OF THINGS IN THIS PROGRAMME AND THIS IS THE ONLY THING REMAINING FOR ME SO THAT MY PROGRMME WILL BE ACCEPTED

add_months(COMING_FIXING_DATE,6)

the funtion add_months(x,y)

take 2 parameters
x is any date from variable or from a function like sysdate or any where .
y is the number of months y want to add

if u want to add 6 months write 6 or 7 write 7

this is what i can tell u now .if that not the answer i think i do not understand your problem so u can write it more clear .
