Al Salamo 3alikom..
Hope to get an asnwer to my question in here inshaallah.

The Question:
Is it possible to restore a database dump taken from a 9i Database into a newly created 10G database using the Export and Import method without getting into Troubles?

In case that it is possible,is there any specific checks i have to consider or it will be so simple as restoring dump from 9i to 9i?

In case that it will not be possible and i will need to work with the datafiles what should be done to finish this task properly?

Before you make import you should do the following
- Create all the tablespace in the database 9i except the one existing in the 10g such as system, temp
- create the schema in the 10g in the 9i
- create the tables in the 10g
-after thar issue import for the database 10 and full=yes
I hope that will help you

First thank you so much for your reply, but I guess that it would not be easy to implement this solution as there are a huge number of tables in the 9i database..
But anyhow let me just verify what i 've understood from your reply:
I should create Objects on the 10G database server and which should be simillar
to Objects on the 9i server, then I'll just have to issue the import command on the 1G database with a Full=y
That's All

Thank you again.
