بعد تثتيب fedora core 5 قمت بعمل التعديلات اللازمة لتنزيل الاوراكل حسب هذا الرابط :

كل شىء حتى الان ممتاز ........لكن أثناء التثتيب توقف عند 66% لا أدرى لماذا .
ملحوظة: temp/ يوجد به مساحة كافية

i have tested the installation of oracle 10g on fedora core5 and the installation was successful and every thing goes ok but i have forgetten to disable SELINUX and then every thing crashes out

to meke the installation successful u have to disable selinux

but this is a security risk and not recommeded so i prefer to use fedora core 4 for the oracle installation

it goes smooth, no problem and u don't have to disable selinux

also fedora cora 4 has more s/w support than FC%

the second thing u say that installation fails at 66%

this may mean that following assumptions:

1- the installation cds is not burned in the right way

* you can check the zip file u have downloaded from the internet through the hash code supplied from oracle.com at the download section

2- the prerequired software is not fully fulfilled

* see the required software from the oracle installation manaual for oracle installation on linux x86 or review the manual u r using

3- u don't follow the operation during the linking stage stated in tutorial

my final recommendation

is to use fedora core 4 and to use the following tutorial
