اية الفرق بين
EXTENT MANAGEMENT DICTIONARY وبين EXTENT MANAGEMENT DICTIONARY
وهل فى مشلكة حيث انا قمت create taplespace

I think u means Dictionary and locally management..any way
• Locally managed tablespace:
– Free extents managed in the tablespace
– Bitmap is used to record free extents
– Each bit corresponds to a block or group of blocks
– Bit value indicates free or used
• Dictionary-managed tablespace:
– Free extents are managed by the data dictionary
– Appropriate tables are updated when extents are
allocated or deallocated

انت كل مرة الى ترد علية فى اى موضوع ابعتة جزالك الله خيرا
لكن كدة فى مشكلة ممكن تحصل عندى حيث انا CREATE TABLESPACE بطريقة EXTENT MANAGEMENT DICTIONARY
لانة كان فى عندى على الجدوال extend كتير وقمت بعمل alter move على tablespace جدية لكن لم يحل موضوع الextend
لكن لما عملت tablespace بطريقة DICTIONARY
كل extend الى على table راح
على فكرة انا مستخدم oracle 8i وكنت بفكر اعملها update لكن حجم البيانات كبير يصل الى 4 مليون وهل لى فائدupdate

i do not understand last thing what do u mean by update?or u mean upgrade to 9i or 10g?

اما بالنسبة لسؤالك انا اريد اعمل upgrade to 9i

if ur db is too large and its status is stable,i do not recommend upgrade because it's a complex operation and may generate errors,but if u r facing an issue that require that,u should do it

انا خلاص مش هعمل upgrad لكن اريد اعرف هل ممكن يحدث مع مشكلة فى انى عملت CREATE TABLESPACE بطريقة EXTENT MANAGEMENT DICTIONARY
حيث حجم الدتاتا الجداول الى على عملتها move على tp يصل الى 4 مليون
ارجوك رد علية على هذة النقطة

no but it's just overload on Data Dict

يعنى افضل انى اعمل move على tablespace تانية
او اغير الى موجودة الى locally management
