HI there,

I have a FORM which gives the administrator the choices to do query about the student, using one or more fields from that FORM.

Now, the output will depend on the Admin choice (which fields he/she choosed).

First: Is the output result of that query, a REPORT (can we name it as a REPORT type).
Second: How can I do that, I mean after the Admin presses the button SEARCH, how to write the trigger (YES, I have to do some select statements....any thing else that?)

, and how to let the result(s) showing down the search fields, on the same FORM, and not as a usual report output?

See..., When you have a Master-Detail Form, you can do query from one or more fields in the Master block,and the results are showned at the Details block (fileds).

Now I have a form, with some fields, let me say the same as a Student (Master) block, from where I give the user, the possibility to do query from the showned fields.
Now when he/she, presses the Search button on that Form, I want that the search results, to be outputted on the same Form, below the SEARCH button .

And not as a Report output, as ussually we get when we run a report.

I hope it is clear

I attached a form example (Just an example), on Block 1, you can do query with one or more fields, after you press the search button, the results should apear below that button on Block 2, as a Report.

if there is a relation between the to blocks then make the when button pressed of the searcj=h button is to execute_query
then the logic flow will be as follow
1- the enter the query mood
2- the user enter the value he want to search (101) for example
3-the user press the search button that fire the when button pressed witch execue the query
