I want to know if there’s any body know how to upload excel file to oracle from forms...
Ex: if I have test.xls file and it's contain employee information how I can lode it to oracle db from the form...

dear u can follow this steps and hopefully you will upload your data..


1) create table on oracle (sql)
2) the file already in excel (by inserted data )
3) open access
4) go to start – control panel – administrator tools – oracle source (odbc) on user DSN choice add then choice oracle in ora home – finish – ok



data source name
TNS server name
Then test connection then ok

5) on access : click file get external data – link table .
on on files of type odbc click data source tab choice (click ) on the source name then ok . then choice the table that you created on sql (empty one)
6) then click file – get external data import on file of type excel and specify the name of the file then ok
7)on query create query in design view , choice the access table that is filled which is from excel then execute query .
8) specify the columns – click on query append qury then specfy the empty table from DB to be filled then save query .

you can use TOAD
Go to 'DATABASE' menu
Select Import - Table Data
Select Schema, Table Name
Click 'Show Data'
Click 'Execute Wizard'
Select File Type as Excel & Your Excel File
Go upto Step 7 of 9
Map your excel column to Oracle Column
Then click Append..
Now the Ora-Table will be getting uploaded.

لقد قرات ردك على الموضوع وكان جيد ولكنى اريد شئ اخر من كل من شارك فى هذا الموضوع
انا اريد ربط ديفيلوبر 6 مع داتاباز اكسس او حتى على الاقل قراءة بينات معينة منها والتعامل معها
