i really wants to help you but i need some more information

1- the linux distribution you are working with because there is nothing called linux v.4 but linux_distribution_name version xxx
whatever the name and the version

2- also the version of the oracle server you are running

3- does the server exists at your workplace or at remote location

4- what are the firewall settings on the server (be sure that the following ports are opened 1521:tcp and 5560:tcp and 5500:tcp)
this ports are needed for oracle isqlplus and the enterprice manager to work perfectly

5 - if you are running the oracle 10g did you have a standalone server or this server is a part of a grid control

make sure that all of this information is available and isa
i will be able to support you

The following are the ansewrs for your questions

## Ansewr Linux Release 2.6.9-22.EL

2- also the version of the oracle server you are running
## Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options.

3- does the server exists at your workplace or at remote location
## Ansewr : On mt workplac.

4- what are the firewall settings on the server (be sure that the following ports are opened 1521:tcp and 5560:tcp and 5500:tcp)
this ports are needed for oracle isqlplus and the enterprice manager to work perfectly
## Ansewr : I think that Firewall is not running on my machine.
I discover That The Listner is Using Port 1522.
But isqlplus Is Running , No problem with it.
All other ports u mentioned ar opend.

5 - if you are running the oracle 10g did you have a standalone server or this server is a part of a grid control

I forget to tell u that when I try to run the em By issuing this command the following Message
is take place.
$ emctl start oms
TZ Set to Asia/....
Oracle Enterprise Manger 10g Grid Control Not Installed. Request Ignored.

this is an error message because the command u have issued is not correct:

the right one is :

$ emctl start dbconsole

and when you want to stop it:

$emctl stop dbconsole

try both of these commands and isa every problem will be solved
