I've a homogenous distributed database system, when my application connects to Oracle 9i( 9.2)
and tries to retrieve an image(stored in the table as a long raw data type) from Oracle 9i( 9.2) or
Oracle 8i (8.0) i get ORA-01406 " Fetched column values was truncated)!

However, when my application connects to Oracle 8i( 8.0)
and tries to retrieve an image(stored in the table as a long raw data type) from Oracle 8i (8.0) or
Oracle 9i (9.2) it works!


In addition, there is no problem when my application connects locally to Oracle 9i(9.2) or Oracle 8i(8.0)!


Could you kindly help me please as soon as possible.

ليست لدي خبرة سابقة في الموضوع ، لكن حاول تزيد حجم الـ SHARED_POOL بـ32 MB إذا أمكن .. فقد علمت أن الموضوع له علاقة بالذاكرة المتاحة لاسترجاع قيمة الحقل !! والله أعلم

Cause: In a host language program, a FETCH operation was forced to truncate a character string. The program buffer area for this column was not large enough to contain the entire string. The cursor return code from the fetch was +3.

Action: Increase the column buffer area to hold the largest column value or perform other appropriate processing.
